What is in a name?

The name Beadjunkies, “it’s an addiction” was conceived in the basement of our Denver, CO home 6 years ago.  My ex-husband and I wanted to design a website that described us.

Bead Junkies fit the bill.  Since its inception, several people use the term beadjunkies as an adjective, noun or even a verb.  I have seen bead junkies blogs and website pop up all over the internet.  I am so glad that I bought the name years ago.  The idea of a bead junkie is simple.  A person who truly loves to collect beads of all sorts equals a BEAD Junkie.

My addiction began when I was a little girl.  My mother thought I was crazy.  She still does but for many different reasons.

We are continuing to sell the very coveted Basha Beads from OR.  Each one is spectacular.  In addition, we travel. Yes – bead junkies hit the road.  Very interesting to see what a person can find while traveling.  Trading beads for other beads is so much fun!

SO, essentially this blog entry is to all the other Bead Junkies out there.  The ones using the name and term, I am flattered that you like our idea so much.  Please keep in mind that this is a trend and know the origin for the name – beadjunkies was thought about in a basement in Denver, Colorado by true bead heads.  I hope that you email and connect to us.  I know that when people google Beadjunkies – our site continues to appear.  We want to create cyber beady communities and look forward to hearing from you.  Beady Momma
